McDonnell Solicitors was founded by Thomas McDonnell in 2013. Emma Egan Solicitor joined the firm in 2022. The firm expanded in 2024 and were joined by Brenda Beirne Solicitor and Grace Farrell Solicitor. Ann Doyle joined the firm as office administrator in 2024.

Tom founded McDonnell Solicitors in 2013 having worked as an assistant solicitor for 15 years with Leo F. Branigan & Co Solicitors, Longford. He qualified as a Solicitor in Ireland in 2001.
Tom is a general practice solicitor and practices in all areas of law. Tom has extensive experience in Conveyancing (both residential and commercial property), Probate, Wills, Trusts & Estate Planning and all types of litigation/court work. He has a Diploma in Commercial Conveyancing. Tom has acted for a number of property developers over the course of the last 15 years and has encountered and dealt with many complex property transactions, including trusts, large mixed use estate developments and complex banking/finance arrangements, in that time.
Tom also deals with the firms District Court practice and Family Law. He has a particular interest in road traffic law and has been involved in some high profile cases.
Tom has an interest in all types of sport. He is a member of his local GAA club. He enjoys reading and travel.
